Thoughts and Images

Dear Reader,

I am a female of African, French and Native American descent. I am a real exotic blend, yet all American to the very end. This is my journey in paper and ink My wish is that my words compel you to think. This is my personal account  Of what happened before, during, and after Hurricane Katrina. Void of all the lies about aid from FEMA. The fear and anxiety, The devastation and pain. Tens of thousands were displaced, And lost everything. Some people did return, but half the city is still gone. How can they return To a cement slab and With an invisible home So this is just a little taste A sample and a teaser Of southern comfort on the way To you, My most excellent readers.

 Peace and Blessings, Val

Melissa Kramer, A person of many colors. I ran across her poetry and it moved me

She is Whimsical, powerful and full of life. To me, it seems to there are not many people out there that really do stand out. She is definitely one of those people. It’s best you just read the poetry and decided for yourself. With a little bit of encouragement .You are bound to see more of her work .

Tell me if it moves you too.      Joseph…..
